Suns rays at sunset 12th Feb.

Taken from Closebourne Village, Morpeth 7:50pm on 12th Feb. 2012. It is looking to the NE (the sunset is in the opposite direction)

anti-crepuscular rays

I have been told they are anti-crepuscular rays and if you google this you will see more info and some amazing images.

strange phenomenon ??

Hi I took the pictures that are similar at Tomago and Heatherbrae posted yesterday evening, the funny thing is the rays in my pictures were coming from the east / north /east at sunset????? I was driving north towards Raymond Terrace when the sun was clearly setting behind me and I could see it in my rear view mirror. unless there was a ship made of mirrors on the ocean behind Hawks Nest the sunset must have been reflecting off the moon???????????
